Since the extent of the damage can be so varied, and the location of the damage so varied, it is hard to offer some kind of pricing. That said here is a rough guide. Panel Refinishing This involves repairing the damage, scuffing the area to be clear coated, masking, priming, basecoat (color / paint), and clear coat. Price: $249 - $449per panel* *Determining factors in pricing are: 1. Type of Damage:
2. Type of Color:
3. How much is to be refinished?
4. What are we refinishing on top of?
A general guide to industry pricing: Traditional repair methods (Body Shops) typically include not only refinishing the panel the damage is on, but also blending color into the adjacent panels, then charging you per panel. At very competitive shops pricing will range between $300 and $450 per panel. As you can see, if one panel had damage on it and the two adjacent panels were blended into, you could be charged $900-$1350 or more. That's not to say that there is never a time one of our painters may need to blend into an adjacent panel, but often we keep the repair area much smaller than traditional repair methods would and this is one way we save you money. Pricing or the cost to have repairs done on your vehicle often is the determining factor in whether to get the repairs done or not. But...
More than pricing should be considered!
The first thing to take into consideration is your comfort level with your mobile service provider.
-
Has he explained what you are to expect with his services?
-
Was he timely in his communications?
-
Did he adequately answer all of your questions?
Once you have a comfort level with your service provider, then move on to step two.
Second thing to take into consideration is how convenient is this for you?
-
Do you have to make a special trip just to get an estimate?
-
Do you have to lose time from work to get the need repairs done?
-
Do you have to give your vehicle up and rent a car for a couple of days?
-
Does using mobile services save you a lot of time?
-
How much is your time worth?
One more possible thing to consider is how do these repairs affect the environment? The traditional ways to have these various repairs done often include painting and refinishing more than just the damaged area. Mobile services generally keep the repair as small as possible and with our Paintless Dent Removal, no painting is required. So Mobile services provide some of the 'Greenest' auto body services you can find.
Now once you are comfortable with these questions, then consider price. Most of the time using mobile services will cost you somewhere between 30-70% less than body shops. Why? Because we don't have the overhead that they do, we repair bumpers instead of replace them, we are set up to do small jobs, not complete repaint jobs.
Just because our prices are lower, doesn't mean that we do cheap work, anyways just because you take your car to a body shop and pay a lot of money, doesn't mean you'll always get excellent work either.
So take the time to see if our mobile service providers at FastCarRepair.com can deliver great service and great work at a fair and reasonable price.
